I've got an OBD2 cluster in the garage, the glass is fine. The glass is an easy swap. What's the going rate for a cluster?

I am assuming that you wouldn't want to sell me just the glass ah?

Yup just noticed it in the cold, was much better when it was warm. Thanks for the great write up!

Awesome Brett, awesome! Can't wait to do this to my euro cluster, which has a nice dark spot around 3-4k RPM.

I'm going to try this soon. My only question is reinstalling the needles. Its late and I've just drove over 700mi, but I don't understand how you reinstall to your marks. Stick it on loose and turn to the stops to adjust??

No, install completely down then push the needles past their stops to find the correct resting and end sweep points. It can be tricky getting that perfect alignment so sometimes I'll pull the needle up the shaft some, make my orientation guesstimate and then push it back down.

I show the depth to push them down to and you'll understand the "stops" thing when you watch the video I posted on removing the needles (and do it yourself).

When you make your marks don't push too hard or you might push the needle past it's original orientation on the motor shaft (past the "Stops").

Just wondering, since you've cracked open the instrument cluster and modified it, is that something you will have to declare if you later sell the vehicle?
