Had mine shipped via Reliable, Dallas to PA. Very professional service and a little over $1 per mile fully enclosed. My M3 rode with 3 custom Rolls and a 918 Porsche!

I just had the same dilemma picking up an e83 X3, M package, 6 speed manual, white with brown interior (I'm very excited about it). Car was in Seattle, I was in Michigan. Shipping was quoted $1000-$1500 so I booked a flight with my wife and daughter and drove it 2500 miles back over 5 days. It was an epic drive and the only thing that went wrong was the battery died during the -50F windchill day in Chicago.
Shame you couldn't have done the same but M3 with summer tires in snow would have resulted in destruction. Glad it worked out finding a shipper and congrats on the purchase!

Car arrived today (it left CO yesterday at noon!), only fresh off the carrier photos but the drive around the block to parking garage was actually a blast.
HUGE thank you for the referral of Aaron, this was a potential root canal rendered painless. Car is much nicer than anticipated, so will likely bore you all with introductions, photos etc. |

And yea I understand, places who apply clear bra will also be able to remove clear bra, so I figure that might be a place to start.

Hi all, photos of car to come, it has been uncharacteristically cloudy and raining here in LaLa Land today.
I have a question for the brain trust: based on these totally vague photos, the only ones I have as yet. can you see what exhaust this is, it isn't stock. It is pretty loud and I am little nervous; AutoX here is strict on 91 db max as most courses are near residential. I don't know what 91db sounds like but mine is pretty loud below 3200rpm. The car is a beautiful surprise; already set up for AutoX, rattle free, everything works, smells good, paint very good, seats (shockingly) not worn, pulls like a train. I do see the need for a Z3 steering rack, the stock is truck like. Until I get them side by side here is a tease on the 964 as an homage to the experts and thanks for any insight. |
