The last of the welding on this project.... until I get to the exhaust Is DONE!
It was soooooo nice to not be welding these control arm reinforcement plates on my back under the rear of the car......... so much more relaxing!

Nice progress man!! Hell yea. So lemme ask you, those control arm reinforcements. Is that a weak point on these cars with increased power? I don't think I've ever seen those, but admittedly I haven't looked into the V8 swap rabbit hole at all. Is there a reason you didn't go with a Powerflex or other type of adjustable rear LCA?

thx Nate....
at this stage of the build, I'm just reinforcing the stock bits to holdup to 515 hp....... these plates are very in expensive...... so for $40 and welding rod I've beefed them up . eventually will save up for top of the line coil overs, wide body fenders, bbk, and nice big racing wheels/tires.......... right now just want to get this junk running.... reliably..... I really enjoy welding..... can't wait to do the exhaust.

1.15.19 update....

Junk in the trunk!
service notice... if you ever plan to service your fuel pump or gage sender..... be prepared to buy new fuel pump connectors....... they just fall apart when you pull them off the old pump connection.....

took a break from building on sat for a club drive with my other car....
the gated shifter is not as smooth as the m3..... but rewarding. the sounds of 8500 revs is satisfying...... the 360 could use another 100hp....... though. can't wait for this m3 to hit the track again!

See, this is why I'm surprised when I read something like "eventually will save up for..."

Those RE covers are nice but $$$ however you should hopefully need it with all that extra power
