Hey everyone super excited I was finally able to purchase my 99M3 vert with hard top and Vader’s in hell rot red l,manual last Sunday. I remember first seeing one in 1996 and knowing I would have one and finally it happened.
I have a few question it’s my first time in the threads so don’t hurt me. Is there a diagram for the vacuum lines? (Ive searched and haven’t found one specifically for the 99m3) My dash lights do not illuminate neither does center console. The indicator and warning lights work just no light to see it at night. Any idea? Thank you all so much and I look forward to advice from you all. |

Check the drivers shock tower area. I recall a vacuum diagram somewhere under the hood.

Congrats on the pickup. Post up pics.
As for the lights, start with the low hanging fruit. Make sure your interior lights aren't turned all the way down with the dimmer lol. I've actually had that happen to me. Next, check the fuses. The fuse diagram should be underneath the lid to the fuse box. Headlights and everything work I assume? So it wouldn't be the switch likely.

Yes headlights work and I tried adjusting the dimmer knob but no luck. I’ll check fuses next thank you.
And thank you for helping me locate where the vacuum diagram is. If it’s not there I ask maybe you can post yours? And I tried posting pic but kept telling me server error 🤷🏽*♂️ |

Welcome, here's the shop manual:
Good source for part numbers and diagrams: www.realoem.com Post some pictures ![]() edit: if that DL link doesn't work, google "E36 Bentley Manual PDF" and you'll find a few other links.
