Default GROUP BUY: CMP AE Subframe Kit

Good afternoon Everyone,

Thought I’d take a moment to start a thread for a group buy on our CMP subframe kit.

For those not familiar, my original post on the product is here:

http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=565038

This kit is designed to not only prevent failure of the rear axle carrier panel around the rear mount area but also substantially increase chassis rigidity. I will be sharing some basic calculation I have done below.

THE SALE:

If you are interested in the kit however, not till a set discounted amount, please comment below and I will add you to the list as a potential buyer from that point onwards.

There is no deposit required to add yourself to the list. The final discount will be tabulated at the end of the sale and the discount will be based on the quantity of people who commit to a deposit at the end of the group buy.

Pricing: Per kit
The standard price for a full kit is $535 AUD ~$395 USD before discount.
The kit will be discounted 5% off per 5 people for a total of 20% off.

Shipping: Per parcel
Australia: Free
United States: $165 AUD (~$122 USD).
Canada: $165 AUD ($165 CAD)

(A total of 3 kits can be fit within a single parcel).

Payment:

The final discount will be based on those who have paid at least a deposit by the end of the 21st.

Once full payment is received, the kits will be sent out to their respective buyers.
All deposits & payments will be invoiced via Pay Pal.

A deposit is 10% of the non-discounted amount per kit excluding shipping = $53.5 AUD.

Feel free to follow us on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/cmpauto/

For install information please see the install PDF on our webpage:
http://cmpautoengineering.com/…/CMP-...Install…

Our webpage is: http://cmpautoengineering.com/

The group buy is also on Facebook to try help boost the numbers and thus the savings.

If you have any questions please post them below.

Some common questions;

How long does it take to install?

The kit requires some time-consuming prep work such as removing sound deadener, seam sealer, drilling and cutting. This can be seen in the first few steps of our install manual linked earlier. Doing so can be a major cost saving.

If the prep work is done the entirety of the welding can be done in 5-6 hours. Based on using a MIG, a TIG will be slower.

If a workshop were to do the entire works, allow for roughly 12 hours for the entirety of the work + paint. Based on feedback, the installs seem to vary between 8-14 hours based on experience and method.

Does the subframe need removing and underside stripped?

The kit can be installed on all 4 wheels. In order to extend the subframe bolts the last section of the exhaust before the muffler needs removing to access the rear left bolt.

Each kit includes a long series drill bit and a machined guide to extend the bolt hole without damaging the factory thread.

What is included within the kit?

The kit consists of 12 laser cut components (rectangle hollow section (RHS), flat and folded plate, tube section as well as a cosmetic plaque), 2 extended bolts & nuts, 1 long series drill bit & guide + 4 rivets to link the plaque to the RHS after paint and a printed and spiral bound copy of our install manual.

How does our kit differ?

Our kit like some others are designed to correct a critical design flaw around the rear mounts of the carrier panel. The kit is designed to tie into all possible factory welds supporting the threaded insert as well as those down the chassis leg for ideal integration into the factory design and to avoid introducing stresses between structural joins.

Where ours differs is that it is designed to offer substantially more rigidity to that area of the axle carrier panel for a tighter more responsive driver feedback. The result being that it is not a stealth option and is visible within the boot when complete. Despite this, there is minimal intrusion into the boot and still maintain completely functionality.

This kit is also very easily included into roll over protection systems (roll cages) or other structural braces. For example, we have someone currently pursuing a kit and our underside plates (once complete) for a twin turbo Ls3 E46 coupe drift car. The kit will completely tie into the roll cage.

Out of curiosity, do you have a list of US garages that have installed these previously for customers?

Morning Csanter,

The two I know of because I spoke to prior to the installation commencing is Lang Racing in California and Foreign Affairs Motorsport in Florida.

The picture of the installed kit painted grey with the seam sealer was done by Foreign Affairs Motorsport. I don't have any installed pictures of the Lang Racing installation.

Sorry that you missed out on the group buy price. It is very close, perhaps I can do a small credit for future products if you'd like? Feel free to message me on Facebook to discuss further.
