Default What's the newest BMW Mic that'll mount in our stock mic location? not work, just fit

Looking to get the newest mic possible for use with the Avin Avant3, that'll clip into our factory mic location (since the newer cars seem to have better sound clarity than ours).

Planning to use this adapter to connect it to the head unit:
https://avinusa.com/factory-bluetoot...-audi-bmw.html

e.g. the e9X one looks like it would mount (not sure if the size is the same):

Looks like E9x one is the same as the E6x one. I can see if it fits in the e46 later tonight

I didn't realize you could use the OE mic in the stock location with these type of units. Good to know

In theory it should work, but you'd probably have to make your own wire to go to the mic

Well I've since confirmed the microphones are the same (and there's some sort of amplification or filtering circuitry built in). Any clarity improvements are likely at the software end rather than improvements in the mics themselves.
