So for $1000 you got the front and rear calipers, CSL front and rear rotors, ss lines, caliper brackets???

There's a guy locally that is selling me a good condition full complete set already on an m3 that he's removing. Has everything front and rear for $1200.

Is that a bad deal?

I just did the front. Rears would be just a little cheaper, so under $2k for both or so.

The damn rotors are half the cost! There are ways to play with it though to keep costs down, you could still run cheap stock rear rotors, for example.

I just purchased a front set of calipers last night. What are you doing for the pad sensors? Do our stock ones work?

I simply secured mine (driver side) away in the little black electronic box and zip tied it.

I wasn't interested in retrofitting it as my car isn't a DD and these 1/2" thick Porsche pads could likely last me 10 years at the 3k/yr rate I'm going.

Nice. I’ll probably end up doing the same. I may PM you some more questions as I piece together my kit if that’s ok with you

It's really cool mod and I thank all those involved over the years to make something like this possible - there would have had to have been a lot of mental/rationalizing gymnastics for me to buy a Brembo BBK, otherwise, with their normal high cost.

Thanks for sharing. You have inspired me to make the plunge.

Just a few questions which may help others as well:

*What is the part number for the pad dampers or do you have links for them?
*Where did you get the bleeder screws?
*Did you consider the front brackets from Creation Motorsport that support stock 325mm rotors?
*Did you need to shave 3mm from the knuckle using Creation brackets?
*Would you offer the shaving service to forum members for a cost?

Thanks.

I've attached my invoice from ECStuning that has the part #s and price for the dampers, lines and brackets.

Bleeder screws are DORMAN brand, #13906 bought from Orielly's Auto, like $5 for a pair. You could probably search longer and find a bleeder that is a better choice, e.i. not as long. All that really matters, of course, is the 10mm size and 1mm pitch. These were 35mm long (1&3/8"); I would have preferred 30-31mm.

I did consider the 325mm rotors (euro drilled/floating) very much, though only for weight savings. In the end I said "eff it" go big The price difference between the euro rotor and csl rotor isn't that much anyways.

I did not have to do anything to the knuckle/kingpin whatsoever for this BBK, though it just have to bend the very tip of the heat shield slightly out of the way - very easy with any tool like pliers/vice grips.

I cannot offer the machining, sorry.
