I don't like when "electronic" artists feel like they have to incorporate some "live" instruments in order to be taken seriously, but a lot of those cats can really, really play (Jon Hopkins, Pretty Lights, Griz, Hippie Sabotage, Anomalie, many others).
we'll see how long this stays up on youtube. random electronic artist incorporating "live" instruments to be taken serious.

Probably going to see Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives tonight. Had no idea Deke Dickerson was playing with him regularly. Met Deke back in his rockabilly days, forgot he'd moved more towards 50s/60s era Cali/Bakersfield country.

EDIT: Saw him. One of the top ten shows of my life; will catch him any chance I get from now on. Phenomenal talent and walked about 80 years of American roots music without missing a step. I am going to his festival if I can. Can't believe I missed him until now.

NIN is coming to the Wharf in DC on Oct 9 with The Jesus And Mary Chain. If anyone is going to the presale this Saturday and is willing/able to buy extra tickets, please PM me. I'll be in Pittsburgh or I would make the trip.

Pretty sure I saw The Jesus And Mary Chain somewhere in New Jersey in '92. That wasn't that long ago.

It’s Anthem, love that venue. I would love to go, but a little annoyed about the physical ticket thing. Nice intent, massively inconvenient though. I did order the $175 version of the new record though, because fanboi

Anyway, since I last posted: Tauk at the 930. Tonight in Atlanta, Primus/Mastodon/All them Witches.
