Default Remove battery from car ok ? E92 M3

Hello everyone.

I haven't been driving my E92 M3 for some time and I'm noticing that the battery has a low charge because its been sitting so long. (about a month and a half)

I want to get a battery tender and charge/maintain my battery but I don't have an AC outlet in my apartment garage.

So my question is: Is it OK to take the battery out of the car and charge it where I have an AC outlet ? Are there any issues from not having the battery in the car for a few days ?

you can either disconnect the battery and leave it in in the car or you could take it home and charge it at home with battery charger. you cant even hook it up at the garage with a extension cord? I recommend the CTEK units.

Thanks for the reply Maxima.. No, there is no AC outlet in the parking garage and no way to run an extension cord. Unfortunately the only way would be to take the battery out of the car and charge it in my apartment. (I need a house)

Yes, I heard the CTEK units are the best, but I already have a battery tender.

Just want to verify that taking the battery out of the car for a few days wont cause any major issues when I put it back in. Computer problems, etc.

Yes, it is OK to remove the battery to charge it. Just make sure that you connect everything back up before reconnecting the battery. The airbag terminal on the positive side can easily be forgotten, and the airbag light would have to be reset with the BMW scan tool or something similar.

You mean, re-connect the battery last? after everything else is attached to the connector ? (don't have the battery connected without having everything attached to the + side connector array) ?
