Default Stupid rear jack point question

So I accidentally jacked my e46 from the idle bolt in the center of the underbody xbrace, you know where the flat piece of metal is right in front of where I was supposed to jack directly on the subframe...

Car seems to be fine but I just realized I jacked it from there like 5-7 times last week and was wondering...
A) is that a really bad place to jack it
B) could I have screwed something up without knowing it yet?

Thanks. Pics for reference below.

FYI the one with writing on it... I jacked on the metal in front (closer to front of car) of the where it says to properly jack.

Don't know why this stupid thing won't let me upload.. Here's link to the pic

No its fine, you may have distorted the steel on the v brace but probably not. nothing can be damaged there , only thing under all that is the input flang to the diff but its well protected and you wouldn't have touched it.

Thanks for the reply.. And your opinion!

By distortion you mean slightly bend the brace or just that flat plate where the idle bolt is?

By nothing that would affect anything handling wise right?

Thanks again

Well, this thread made me look, and I realized that I had not been jacking the car up by the subframe at least the past 2 times...I placed my jack just behind the diff heatsink, which means I was still raising the car up by the differential.

Assuming I was "gentle" about it all, any damage I might have caused from jacking the car up by the diff?

Just keep and eye for diff oil as you might have weakened the seal or worst case cracked the cover.. Other than that no. Don't do it again
