That is exactly my price target is for my next toy car, $100k.

Nice list you put together, although some of them are not in that price range, I don't think. My first choice would the the 991 GT3, but I have not seen any decent ones, unless it had some issues or high miles, for under $120-130k.

I have not checked prices on the NSX, but also doubt they are already that low. Didn't they start at $170k just a couple of years ago?

Personally IMHO the GT4 is the best one. You can get a nice one now for just about $100k (including CA tax). If you live in a state with low sales tax then ~$90k. I'm talking low miles, like new. I'm sure there are some higher mile examples for less, but with some of these cars I would worry that it was beaten to death on the track, if it had lots of miles.

If I could get over the Corvette's mid life crisis, old man, redneck image, then the Corvette would be another good one, but ultimate, I don't think there is a substitute for a Porsche GT car, if you have track in mind, well maybe the Evora, but it isn't as suited for street use. Hard to get in and out. No storage etc.

Basically the same boat I am in as well I figured I have another ~2 years until I actually pull the trigger on something. By then this list will go down a bit and I can save a little more, so these should all be in that 100-120ish ballpark.

...one can hope the 991.2 GT3s have lowered in price by the time the 992 GT3 arrives right? That or the new GT4 is released

Yeah, it's frustrating the 991 GT3 has not depreciated more. They are holding stubbornly at $120k+. The issue is that Porsche keeps raising their new prices and thus the lightly used ones almost hold their MSRP's, or at least don't go down like other cars. I'm hoping also once the 992 comes out, that they will finally drop a bit more.

You can see it in the GT4 a bit right now. Up until very recently they held their new price and then some, but now that we all know Porsche will build another one, they are coming down a b it. I bet soon, you can find many of them for $85k-ish. That might be my ticket then. I could be ready by next spring, unless I decide to hold out another year and go for the GT3.

The AMG GT-S Mercedes would be attractive too. Based on last PCOTY test in Road and Track (granted that was the track version) it is very capable. It was 3 seconds faster than the GT3 if I recall, at VIR. And you don't see that many. That is the only downside of the P GT cars. There are literally a dozen of them at every track event. Then again, there is a good reason for that.

real talk OP... How much do you have set aside for service each year? The GT cars, Aston, Merc, and probably the audi will cost you about a trillion dollars in service bills. If you track them, then even more. The american cars will be the winners in that respect.

Any iteration of the (last gen) viper for me. The car is an absolute weapon.

I personally think the ACR is the only American made car I would own. Even over the Ford GT, I just think everything else is cheap looking and/or hideous imo. As far as cost and service, I dont see either of those being a problem. Many jobs I am open to performing service on my own or simply taking it to our shop to have service done. I think the Merc might be the best all around car, but man AMGs tank in value sooo hard I dont know if I could handle that.
