Default West Michigan M3 Mechanic?

Hello guys,

I thought I'd gotten lucky finding http://www.automotiveemporium.com in Grand Rapids MI, but now they aren't interested in performing my extensive list of work items (below). Too busy, too many unconventional jobs, I'm guessing.

Do you guys (please) know of anyone in west Michigan who does good work?

What I'd like to have done:

1) Redo the connectors that hook my intake manifold to the intake. The shop I used, used hose clamps; I bought the OEM ones, and I'd like these better.

2) VANOS lockdown. See here.

3) Very, very precise valve adjustment. See here. Willing to buy these tools for you, and let you keep them as part of the deal (I'll be bringing it back every 15k miles for adjustment).

4) Top off fluid in the rear diff, quote me on a new pinion seal (mine is a tiny bit leaky).

5) New cabin filter.

6) Check power steering fluid condition.

7) New RSMs and RTABs? I don't even know what the heck these are, but pros are telling me they're very important around 60k miles. VIDEOS HERE.

8) Guibo? I don't know what this is. But again, they're telling me it's important.

9) Tranny mounts. LINK

10) General suspension and undercarriage inspection -- looking for cracks in suspension mounts, subframe, check belts for cracks, bent control arms, etc.

11) SUBFRAME REINFORCEMENT. I'm sure you've heard all about this. I'd like to have mine reinforced before there are any issues.

12) Replace the Constant Pressure valve with a new one; prevents an issue later. LINK.

I know a good shop in Detroit area for subframe work if you’re willing to make the drive. They’re competent and familiar with the E46. They swapped my RACP.

Maybe eventually..... but not yet, I can't submit to that yet. Chicago would be a much closer drive, anyway.

I'm really hoping to find a guy who I can leave the car with for all of December of January, and let it become a project for him.

I might just have to ship it out to that Kaiv guy in California or something. $700 each way would get it there.

Have you checked with German Auto Service?

Ben and Joe are some of the best euro techs in the state and local to Grand Rapids
