Default Price check on aisle 1 *ZCP owners look*

How much should a 2006 ZCP with 40,000 cost?

In "Excellent" KBB says it should be around $34,000.

To me, that seems a little high, given the market.

KBB is supposed to keep up SOMEWHAT with the market though...

So, yeah...

Any recent purchases of a ZCP ('05 or '06) with prices would be good.

Or just your 2 cents on what you think the price should be.

Thanks

For reference, I bought an '06 non-ZCP for $30k with about 25,000 miles.

See to me, the Comp option being $4k new, it shouldn't be $4k at 4 years old on top of the value of a non-ZCP.

I am kind of set on the ZCP with the wheels and the steering ratio, but it's pissing me off that people think these cars are Ferrari's and retain near their sticker value.

I've seen some as high as $46,000...

Are you kidding me?

People always think cars are worth more than they really are, just one of those things I guess. But sellers often jack up the price at the get go as a starting place for negotiations.

I just bought my 05 ZCP with 40K miles for $32.5

My car however is still under CPO for another year and full maintenance, it is also a 6 MT

Here is what I think about the market, an 06 ZCP with 40K miles is worth the following
(Assuming excellent conditions, all records, no dings, no accidents, clean car fax, original paint, original matching body panels)

$32,000
+ $1K for CPO and maintenance
+ $2K for 6 MT (yes they are worth more)

= $35K

If the car is not fully loaded, (nav, heated seats, PDC, HK sound etc) subtract $1K

So $34 could be a fair price based on the above

Dealer or private? Fully loaded or nil options?...dealer & relatively loaded (nav and HK) I'd say 30-32. Private...maybe 2k less.

fully loaded with 6MT probably around $35K. a little less with SMG. in the end, you pay how much you think it's worth.

this all depends where you live.

I wouldn't base anything on KBB... you need to focus on total market value. The car is worth whatever the market will pay in your area. In Seattle, an 05 with that mileage will probably sell for around 30k-35k. It doesn't matter if YOU won't pay that because some sucker will.

It took me 6 months to find mine, and I ended up buying it out of state. TMV for an M3 in Seattle is way too high. KBB is less than TMV in Seattle.
