Default Still 20k Under Inspection 1

Took my car in this morning for the annual oil change and my SA asked me if I wanted to do the inspection 1 because it's been 4 years. Not sure If I should have it done or if it's even necessary as the car purrs like a kitten.

However, my warranty has expired by 2 days (April 25, 2006) and I now apparently have two oil leaks. I think it's from the car sitting over the winter and the seals drying out but I can't be sure so I will keep an eye on it. anybody have any problems with seals drying out?

How many miles are on your car? Hopefully <20k or so if it's never had an Inspection before? Did they do the annual oil change for free (under the maintenance coverage)? If yes, would they do the Inspection 1 for free? If the answer is "yes" then definitely go for it.

If not, then I'd just wait until the OBC counts down to Inspection "due". However, I'd consider doing all of Inspection 1 plus the trans and diff fluid, and maybe cabin air filter (these are normally part of inspection 2) since it's now 4+ years old.

The car has 22,300km's and yes they did the oil change +cabin filter under the free maintenance plan and I believe they would cover inspection 1. I'm just wondering if it's even necessary to do inpection1 at this time because of my mileage or lack thereof.

I am at 25k. I got the valves adjusted at 18k and did the remainder of Inspection 1 myself. No issues yet.

YES have them do the ispection I now if free. It includes a valve adjustment and is expensive. If you track the car, ask them to play close attention to FCABs and RTABs, they could be worn already if you track quite a bit, may as well try to get that done too.
I actually just scheduled my Inspection I today, I'm at about 23,550 miles and showing 300 miles past due. I had to purposely drive more miles than I would have over the last year to ensure it would occur in the maintenance window. No way I was going to not have them do that for free, especially since it would have been due 3 or 6 months later.

Whoa, if they're offering to do the Inspection 1 for free then take them up on it 100%!

+1. Also, consider transmission and diff fluid as well since it's now 4+ years old (normally an Inspection 2 item).

I've been looking up the ideal point to set the valves and the consensus is putting them at the nominal range (.20mm intake and .30mm exhaust). I do track my car but 1-2 times a month for the HPDE's at race city speedway, I don't think that plus how much I drive my car during the summer will put the valves out of spec.

Car handling feels very tight, I doubt my FCAB's and RTAB's are even remotely close to being shot, but it won't hurt to have them look. I will have to check out the two leaks I apparently have. I'll be able to get a good look tomorrow while I have new front tires mounted and new brake pads installed.
