Default Anyone know about differentials New one looks diffrent then stock one (Pics inside)

Well I ordered a brand new differential with 3.91 gears installed. However it looks different inside like it has a different type of LSD in it or something. The LSD part is much larger and if you look int the holes you will notice a bunch of disk looking things where my stock differential didn't have this.

Stock dif

New dif

Anyone know what the difference is here???

Oh god, those things are huge. I will try and re-size them, I didn't notice that.

EDIT: OK, Re-sized. Hope that's better.

Yup, it is a different LSD.
Or maybe just a different outer casing since the hole is in a different spot...
Where did you get it from?

P.S.
My stock unit looked exactly like your first picture.

Maybe somebody else here can recognize the unit.
Did you order "Factory M-Variable Unit"?
Turner carries OS Giken, Drexler and Qualife. Maybe you got a free upgrade?

That would be cool, but I don't think I am that lucky, lol.

Yeah, I just ordered the factory M LSD unit, the upgrade was like $1200 and up.

I have been searching around on google images and I cant find an LSD that looks like this new one, they all look like my stock old one.

I do think you are correct that its just the stock LSD in a different hosing of some sort, kinda strange though uh.
