Bringing my 03 on Sat to get inspected...He told me over the phone that everything is free (inspection and repairs, if needed). Whether they make repairs or not, how do I ensure I never have to deal with the sub-frame again?

Just had mine inspected last monday at a local BMW. I requested to go inside the shop to personally visualize locations. No cracks. They said out of hundreds E46's, they repaired about 3 and the 3 were tracked regularly. SA said that they will fix the subframe even though it passes the settlement expiration date of OCT 2010 as a courtesy. Also inspected the RTAB's and said i have the newer version and they look great. Not sure about New since i got the 06 model must have fitted them with an upgraded ones.

Glad I found this Thread. Gotta take my car in now. Still don't trust the dealer. So I will be checking it my self as well. And take it to an indy shop too.

well fellas i promised and update, you DON'T want to miss the VITAL information i gleaned today from the dealership!!! check out the details here http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...54#post4842654
i would read the prior posts in the thread to get the correct context. i would venture to say that a good majority of all of you that took in your E46 M3's may have been lied to concerning your subframe mount points being "OK"

anyone take their car in with aftermarket suspension? I know it's a longshot but maybe there is hope.

What are you guys saying to the dealer when you want to get yours inspected? My local bmw dealer is giving me a hard time everytime I call, saying "that's already been taken care of" or "that's not a problem anymore." Is there an official document that I can show them about the Sept 2010 date?
