Hey guys,

I think it would be awesome to start a little thread with some tips and pointers on products we like to use on our cars. I'm sure everyone will benefit as we compare products and post up before/after progress pictures!

I'll start with my buddies 2006 ZCP that I detailed:

He actually bought it from a m3forum member and it was described as being in excellent condition .

This was my process:

Initial wash /decontamination:

Rinse
Foam ( CG Honeydew )
Wash ( CG Mr pink )
Rinse
CarPro iron X
Rinse
Meg clay bar
Wash
Nextzett Colortec wheel cleaner
Rinse

Exhaust tips:
Meg aluminum polish

Wheels :
Wheels off
Nextzett Colortec
Scrub brush
Clay bar
Adams tire and rubber cleaner
CarPro HydroLite protection
CarPro Perl tire dressing

Car wheel wells:
Rinse
Blitz APC
Scrub brush
Rinse & repeat
Hydes rust stopper on rotors
Chem Guys Barebones spray

Paint correction:
CarPro Eraser
Griots Random Orbital
Meg’s Microfiber cutting disc
5in & 3 inch
Jescar correcting compound ( loved it )
Sonax perfect finish ( good stuff too )
Meg’s microfiber finishing disc
5in & 3inch
CarPro Eraser

Coating:
CarPro Eraser
Cquartz Uk ceramic coating
CarPro Reload silica sealant

Engine bay:
Blitz Apc
Light wipe down ( no rinse due to freshly applied coating )

Interior:
Vacuum
Nextzett cockpit premium
Glass:
Chem guys window clean

Looks good, you should have definitely coated your wheels while they were off. Wheel coatings on these cars make life so much easier.

I agree but the Hydro2lite is good stuff as well. Nothing like a coating though in terms of making the maintenance wash effortless.

I have a similar foam gun purchased on Amazon for about $25.00. Works like a charm with an electric pressure washer I got at Costco. I use Chemical Guys grape foaming wash and the amount of foam is unbelievable.

I use the MTM m407 gun / MTM foam canon.

I started with a Ryobi 1600 PW and upgraded to the Kranzle PW!

I like using Chemical Guys Honey Dew in the canon. I normally use CG Mr. Pink for soap and just tried Adams Shampoo this past weekend. CarPro Reset is also a good maintenance soap for coated cars.
