Default Both window switches stopped working. 99 m3

Both windows will go up/down like normal when the doors open/shut on my 99 coupe. But both driver and passenger switches stopped controlling them the other day. Searched and couldn't find a resolution.

Any ideas?

This wouldn't be too much of an issue if my A/C blower didn't kick on/off randomly. No operable windows + no A/C + summer =

OK figured it out after searching BF. The window fuse 14 was fine, but i ignored to look at all the other fuses. Fuse 43 which is listed as the Vanity Mirror Light fuse was blown. It's in the same circuit as the window switches. Spare was in the box, so it's fixed.

I'll leave thread alive in case someone ever needs it.

Search really is your friend: After spending the last 2 days removing a Pioneer nav system (lots and lots of cables and wires carefully identified, cut, and pulled), installing an Alpine head unit (and accompanying Sirius receiver), and replacing numerous broken/cracked plastic trim pieces, my window switches were inoperable. Of course, after checking fuse 14, I pulled (almost) everything apart again looking for the problem ... and, when I couldn't find anything amiss, wondered whether I cut and removed some factory cabling/wiring; to the point that I pulled all the stuff that I removed from the trash, and went over it. Finally, with a cold Corona in hand, I consulted Search; and, BINGO! I would never have guessed that vanity mirror light fuse would take out the window switches. BIG thanks for posting this fix.

And THAT is why forums are better than shitty FB pages.

Pretty funny.

Both the fusebox diagram and the ETM only show F13 and F14 and F19 for the window circuit.
