cold cat effect, especially since they are so close to the headers. Once I went with cats in section 1 (and got SW tune), this is really minimized.

On another note, make sure you clean your air filter every 6-10k miles, depending environment (dusty, etc), plus clean the MAF- it helps.

Not sure what temps you are talking about at start up, but I surely cannot characterize my starts as a rough idle. And def not going down on RPMs and then backup, "chasing" the idle point.

I had something similar at one point and it was the MAF which got replaced by the $tealer. Since then, MAF gets cleaned every 7500 with oil change.

I standby my initial recommendation of cleaning the MAF to correct that rough idle the OP stated. While in there, check the airfilter and shake it off at least.

The cold start idle sound isn't exactly steady but I wouldn't characterize this as a 'rough' idle either. The engine is just warming up and the ECU is adjusting for it.

I think we need to start a new thread with just video of there cold start ups. Just so we can see if we are all having the same problem or everyone's is different
