if you already changed the salmon relay, then why have another one in the glove box? the likely hood of the relay going bad again is very slim
I have replaced the relay twice in 1 1/2 years...

There is a sensor that requires the brake be depressed to allow the car to go into neutral when the engine is off. That way if you accidently hit the shift handle in the car when parked it will not go into neutral and roll away.

You were just not pushing hard enough to engage it. It has happened to me a few times over the last 2 years...

Good to know. This happened to me once and I frustratingly got out of the car, did a lap inside the house while swearing at the cats, and it worked when I came back out to the car a minute later. Maybe I happened to hit the brake harder that time. It's only ever happened to me on that one occasion.

You might want to get it checked, as it should not happen that often.

However, the occurrance rate does seem to go up when the cold weather begins...

My SMG pump takes alot longer to prime when cold as well...
