Default Whatís Up M3FOT - Slowest / Cheapest Edition

Finally picked up my 2018 M2 a few weeks ago after deciding not to do Performance Center Delivery (would have been 3-4 additional weeks...).

- Manuel
- the one package available
- Blue (obviously)
- CSC3s

With my job still routinely 70-80+ hrs/week and an 11 month at home my goal was a fun, usable car that wouldnít be overly expensive to own and would also be relatively low effort / maintenance.

I have to say this thing has really exceeded my hopes and expectations. It reminds me of my E46 M3 (ASTs, exhaust, square setup street and track) except more compliant and quicker... but not as good looking Stock for stock itís not even the beginning of a conversation...

The size is also spot on for me. After spending significant seat time in my dadís F80 this is a welcome return to what I remember from the 46 and even 36.

One bonus I didnít realize with the Ď18 is a return to an oil temp gauge...

Anyway, a few quick shots after itís first wash the other day.

Awesome car. Exactly how I would order one. Congrats and enjoy that beast! Any future mods?

Love it, congrats. Drove one of these at the BMW M track days and loved it. So much rear grip and a very pure RWD feeling to it. Definitely not for the unskilled at track speeds unless you keep the (wonderfully judged) DSC on.

Congrats on the purchase! I have yet to drive one, but if it is anything like my old 1M, you have a great car.

I love the blue, suits the car well.

Thanks fellas - no mod plans as of yet although I could be tempted with coilovers / plates and the right wheels...

Not through break in so havenít fully hooned around but donít think that more power or even exhaust would be near the top of the list. This motor + gearing is pretty snappy and as noted in another thread I do prefer this sound over the F80.

One thing I miss from the F80 (and our 31) is the HUD, however.
