Default What's Up Guize - Shelbro Edition

Ever since I sold the M3, there has been a bit of a driving void for me. I've taken the opportunity to drive a lot of friends' cars since then , ranging from the 997 911TT, heavily modded 997 911TT, 991 911 Carrera with PDicK, non-rave GT4, Toyota FRS, C7 Z51 Vette, C7 Z06 Vette, a car with just a vent and a door, Infiniti Q60, and F80 M3.

The more I tried, the more I was convinced I had to stick with a n/a engine guided by Manuel He's got sick skillz:

The more I read, the more convinced I was that was doing it right. The C7 Vette really opened my eyes on the handling improvements made in American cars and was frankly stunning. I could toss the thing around with utter confidence, nothing like the 3 previous generations of Vettes I'd tried before. I started thinking about getting a moderately beaten on 2013 Shelby GT500 to have power to burn (and then some). But then I read about the Shelby GT350.

It was a whole other level, and I knew that was what to get. I started looking at various option packages, deciding what was important to me (white with blue stripe b/c race car, Recaro sport seats) and what wasn't (R version, big wing, carbon fiber fiber wheels to crack in potholes). With that, I started my search. I'd especially like to thank EKaru for his help behind the scenes. Once I saw the national prices, I realized that getting a lightly farted on GT350 was the best option, as it would avoid the MSRP markups some dealers continue to insist upon.

I took delivery Monday night, but it's been wet and rainy here. Driving impressions are very limited at the moment. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised by the clutch take-up and feel, the tight steering, and the ultra close gear spacing. The engine and exhaust are just ridiculous Will report back with more impressions as they form.

I also need to take it to a Cars & Coffee and run into other owners and pedestrians

No, that bicycle has no seat belt. I like to cycle dangerously

Also out of sight - M3 CSL replica trunk. Perhaps one day DanLaw will pick it up from me

Lovin' it Law. I've been very tempted to look at that and the Vette.

Looking forward to hearing more about this beast. Don't know much about the GT350. Is this the one without the rear seat? Partial roll bar? Recaro seats? INFO MAN, we need the info.

Congrats Law!!

My neighbor has a 350R and I would go for that over any of the German coupes. Ford really got it right with this car.
