all seriousness - we need to find out what the next currency will be once ETH difficulty increases much more. Decred is actually doing REALLY well for me. I think it's actually as profitable, if not moreso than ETH in the short run. But long term I feel like ETH is more stable.

I also don't love that NiceHash automatically converts DCR into BTC, so it just turns it into a little bit of a round-about way of mining BTC. That in itself isn't terrible, but it adds in another conversion factor to have to deal with - like if BTC price is up/climbing, and DCR price is relatively low/dropping then it just fuks me over.

And that's without bios mods/voltage tweaks/underclocking?

When I was dual mining it would crash with stock settings. Never found a comfortable over/underclock. Changed to solo eth mining and have some changed clock settings. I'll keep toying with it, but it always crashes while I'm at work or sleeping. Just frustrating when I see people are using much more aggressive clock settings and running stable.

wow that's crazy... that's atypical for 1070s right?

Knock on wood, my cards have been pretty stable. It's my wifi/network that has been a *****. Keeps kicking off machines. On monday I decided to buy my own cable modem and burn Comcast's box. It's been more stable since then, but still experience intermittent issues.

If your modem supports port bridging, get yourself another router and a decent AP.

Access point. I have a couple of ubiquiti APs. (My router is pfsense running on a hyper-v server.) They work well. You could also just pick a decent wireless router. A good place to review the latest and greatest is smallnetbuilder.com.

Nice to see some upward movement in XBT and ETH.

BCH has had a rough ride, though. Market capitalization is way down. Pretty ridiculous lack of consistency in block times. Block size has been all over the map, but mostly small, so not many transactions. Here is an interesting coinbase text:

Insane.

1 Bitcoin = $4308.79

I'm really sore that my mining rig isn't bringing in as much as I had hoped. Had I simply dumped that money into crypto that I liked, I'd be in a much better place.

I remember mentioning Antshares / NEO on here and now it's going to the moon. IOTA is also blowing up. I hear rumblings of ARK and OMG possibly being ready for liftoff as well.

I think I'm going to sell my rig. I have 6 Gigabyte 1070 Xtreme editions without much use. May sell 5 and keep 1 for my gaming PC. If anyone is interested, PM me. I think I'd rather just invest directly in the currency at this point.
