Honestly with the way the last month has gone, there's not a crazy profit in all of this. It's more of a hobby at this point with the hope the value of some of these coins or other mineable alternatives goes up and remains in a profitable place.

Because of a shortage of molex connectors on my PSU's, I've disconnected one GPU. So each PSU comes with 1 daisy chain of Molex. At most, you should only ever connect 2 GPUs to one chain. So, I have 2 GPUs on a molex chain, and then one GPU using the dreaded SATA to molex adapter. One set works fine, the other adapter gets very warm. Warm adapters = dangerous, so never run them this way for extended periods of time. I've got 4 more adapters to play with and see if they are any better.

I've been messing with overclock settings using MSI afterburner. For some reason over enough time, I keep getting random crashes while I'm not home. Have to keep tweaking and find something stable.

What are you going to do about dust in these rigs?

Do you have plans to put them in an enclosure with filters?

Obviously if you're raking the money in, it won't matter as you will literally throw these GPUs in the trash before dust starts to really build up in a few years time. By then they will be worth a bit less anyway in terms of their mining efficiency.

My guess is dust build-up isn't much of a concern with mining, but I figured I'd pose the question instead of hitting up Google to find out

Like Timmay, I use my excessive new found income on French Maid.

If she's busy fulfilling other duties, I think a can of compressed air is the only other method. Oddly enough, no dust yet.

I think I'll buy a decent fan to just keep air blowing over everything which should slow the dust and help move the hot air out.

Here I go again... hahahha

The 480 will ultimately get pulled off of this MB, and replaced by the 6 rx560s that I have running. Its cheaper and only has a 750W PSU, so it should be just right for all those little cards.

I'll add the MSI MB to the second shelf of this, and will fill it up with my RX480s, eventually will have it running 7 of them.

Should give me a total of 275+ mh/s on ETH + whatever it can generate on a second coin.

Eventually on this rack I should be able to add a 3rd rig.

Forgive the clutter, garage is ****ed right now LOL.

So addicted. So fukked.

Honestly, at these prices it is a 10-12 month break even for the investment on the test machine and the first mining rig. And once I've broken even, we're talking about $200-$250/mo net?? waste of time.

Plan is to increase production until I can have something meaningful .... maybe attribute $500/mo to paying for the hardware and $500/mo cash. That's more worthwhile. Adding a 3rd rig would get me there.
