I just bought some used 996 calipers for this project. Anyone know if 17” wheels work with this setup?

Question for anyone who may know, I bought these front pads based on suggestions in this thread. Obviously they don't/won't fit with those clips on the back. Do people just cut those off so they can slide into the slots? (Sorry if that's a dumb question)

Thanks!

Those are the wrong pads. The fronts are suppose to be EUR917 and the backs should be EUR737.

those are the pads for the OE brake calipers..what are you trying to do?
On the Porsche bbk, u will need the front pads form a 2.7L Porsche boxster
U will then need to remove the metal inserts and might have to grind the metal from the bottom till it's flush with the pad material(depending on your carrier, it might not be necessary).

im doing the full 996 caliper conversion. im actually 50% through the process and was double checking my parts this weekend. when i opened the box, i realized the pads looked like they definitely werent going to fit.

i will take a look at the EUR917 pads online (as suggested by the other reply). maybe i can return these for a swap...

Default Chach's DIY Porsche 996 BBK Conversion extensive write up

Hey guys I need some help. Iím really glad this thread has come back alive since the beginning but I bought my 04 M3 with a BBK installed using OEM 996 calipers (confirmed by parts number) the owner before me was clueless to say the least and has no information for what he did or receipts for the kit. I bought new OEM ZCP rotors, and 996 pads for the front. When I installed the pads this was the result which is what the original problem was from the previous owner using non ZCP rotors and some kind of pad. I donít know what the deal is or why itís not fitting properly. Someone help please...

Are the calipers machined?
