Doing a resistor mod will make your motor fail prematurely also. 10K resistor; That will literally kill your motor. The max pressure that the pump builds is also dependent to the hydraulic fluid temperature. The accumulator is what holds the pressure that is built up by the pump. Right now you are not building sufficient pressure. That is not an accumulator problem. That is either a dead/failing motor or that resister.

3. Do the live data readings again after you removed the 10k resistor.

Thanks, and yes i will removed the 10k resistor and run live data, one quick question should i ran the data with engine on or off or both? I'm out of town right now but Friday that i get back to town i will be running the test and keep you updated. Thanks Again

Hi. yes. but that video says while driving. The pressure decay is different without shifting. Was just wondering if you had the time for the normal decay without shifting.

i usually run the live data with engine on and the car at normal operating temperature. If your fluid is cold and the engine temp/oil temp is not at it's normal operating temperature then it's not accurate. Because when the fluid gets hot is when you develop problems with the smg.

It was down in Post #32

I just ran a test with DIS. Car was cold, although in sitting in 85 degree garage. Battery was kinda low but hooked up to a charger.

Thanks for the info. 6 minutes and accumulator psi of 30. Seems your accumulator is reaching the end of it's life.

How does the car run? Does it throw cog light on very hot days?

How many miles do you have on the car?

Did you do any mods like pump relocation, burkhart fluid and new motor or temp sensor? or is everything original and pump in original location?

I'm trying to gather data from the community regarding pressure decay. thanks again.

No

130K

No mods, all stock.
Iíve owned this car for approx 4 years now. Iíve never had a SMG issue even thru 3 hot summers. Temps are 100-120 during the summer and this is my daily driver. Iím running ceramic coated headers, vented hood and a Spal electric fan with the Aux Fan.
