Quick update here. No work on car since last post, but have been figuring out OBD Fusion and which adapter works on my iPhone (Veepeak BLE didn't work, Carista Bluetooth seems great). OBD Fusion logs for cold start, highway drive, diagnostic, warm idle here in shared dropbox folder: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v3mi0tj9d...5B5JTqoka?dl=0

Can you gather 1-2 Logs under normal driving conditions once the car is warmed up. Probably no more than 10 minutes per Log as they can get too long.

Note if you have any problems during these trips and about how long into the drive the problems show up.

Highway or just city ok?

Yeah logs I gathered did not have the car fully warmed up because work is not that far from home.

I can provide new logs in a couple hours, will take the car out when I get home.

I would like to see more city/variations in driving. Highway tends to be more of a stable cruise which I do not need more of at this point.

Can you also confirm if the problem is more misfiring, idle instability, knocking or pinging?

The problem is misfires, however, I must say there are a lot fewer of them than before ("before" = around the time I cleared adaptations, which was about 2 weeks ago at this point). Misfire counter on the foxwell picks up misfires even from cold start at idle (1-2 misfires on 1-2 cylinders , however cylinders 3,4,5 seem in the mix constantly). I would say the misfires register in the first 30 seconds or so until the idle starts coming down from ~1100 closer to 900. Idle does not bounce, it is pretty smooth (except when A/C clutch kicks in/out, then it jumps 50-100rpm when the A/C engages/disengages). Misfires also seem to happen on warm restart, very similar to the above description of cold start, 1-2 misfires on 1-2 cylinders. It seems like I am no longer "able" to get misfires by feathering the throttle after the car is warmed up, between 1200-1500rpm with car stationary like I was in initial post here.

The only "work" on the car I've done in the past 2 weeks since clearing adaptations is I got a full tank of gas at Shell (previously been getting Costco), put in a bottle of HEET and that's it.

I'm idling the car quite a bit when I need to do logs/readouts on OBD Fusion and Foxwell (most of the time it's ~10mins to get through all the screens/monitors). I see my long term trims increase a bit from around 6% to around 7% after I idle the car for a while, however when I start driving and drive for a while, they come down to 6 or even a bit below. Does this indicate a vacuum leak somewhere? So the leak it is more prominent at lower rpm as % volume of total air coming in vs when driving or at higher rpm the air "leaking" in is not as much of % volume?

Here are logs from today's drive.

1) Cold start (car misfired once on cylinder 4 somewhere in the first minute) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8daevtcl8w...91408.csv?dl=0

2) After driving on the highway, this log is of me driving around town with a lot of traffic lights and then getting back on onramp. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mba37rlixj...00336.csv?dl=0

3) A few accelerations/decelerations on the highway 50-75-50 https://www.dropbox.com/s/9twtid6u77...01945.csv?dl=0

4) Getting off highway, driving around town, then warm idling (while running diagnostic ), at the end you can see the idle bounce around 900-1300, that is me trying to see if I can get any misfires or hear any knock (I didn't!) https://www.dropbox.com/s/m6jupv8no1...02543.csv?dl=0

5) Diagnostic https://www.dropbox.com/s/bn1w8pcf1a...9-13.html?dl=0

6) Warm restart (car misfired once on cylinder 5) https://www.dropbox.com/s/zlz6ahsv4d...04806.csv?dl=0

Best,
Stas

Might be good to add for context - I don't daily the car right now (because it's been exhibiting these behaviors). Since I cleared adaptations few weeks ago, the car probably spends 30-50% of time idling while I check behavior at different rpm, various screens and monitors on the scan tools. I drive it for short while around town and highway to warm it up. That is prob why ltft change after I drive it on the highway for 30 mins.

I did order a new Bosch MAF (already received it) but have not put it on to see if anything changes.
