Default Sedan Wiper Arm Alignment

Does my wiper alignment look correct? I think my driver's side is higher than it should be. I would really appreciate if any fellow sedan owners could check their cars and let me know.

And yes, I know my cowl covers need replacement, I'll take care of that at the same time I re-adjust the wipers.

How far does it go on the windshield?

It looks about an inch higher than mine.

Straight from BMW TIS

Where A, B is:

4 door model: 50mm, 50mm
2 door model: 43mm, 53mm

In case pic doesn't work

A: distance from end of wiper arm to cowl (scut panel) right arm
B: distance from end of wiper arm to cowl (scut panel) left arm

With right arm being the passenger side on LHD cars, and vice versa.

Thanks for the help guys!

bhennrich, it looks like your drivers side wiper is hitting the hood in the same place mine is. Interesting....does your car have the original windshield?

When the hood raises/lowers, the hinged part of the drivers side wiper hits the edge of the hood. If you look closely, you can see the paint worn away on both the wiper and hood.

It had the original windshield till 2 months ago. I had it replaced with a genuine one that I purchased directly from the dealer and has BMW logo silk-screened on it and fits PERFECTLY. The hood does NOT hit the wiper arm now that I own the car. But it was not adjusted correctly before I bought it. I adjusted it the day I got the car to my house!

Any tips on how to adjust them to fix this? Did you just rotate them up a couple of notches on the splines?
