I also wish it was staggered. I couldn't pass it up for the price though.
I suppose there is always the option, if it bothers me, is cut the tip off at the canister, cut off a cm of where it was cut, then re-weld it. That way it keeps the ends nice. No one would be able to spot it.

I was thinking of getting a second OEM backbox, cut it open en drop its guts and weld it up.

I don't mind the sound of the stock exhaust but the looks and bulk of it are what kills it for me. A lot of people gut them here in the states and it doesn't sound very good.

I don't mind the looks of it. You only really see the bulk when standing far away.
It's quite popular over here. I'm sure the S50 vs S52 will make the same exhaust sound different.

My thoughts exactly. Stock sounds great, albeit a bit quiet, but holy shit it looks bad, and its SO heavy.

Got it from Schmeidmann. I'll shoot you a PM with the contact who I spoke to. Me and a friend picked up 3 exhausts in one go.

I think the way that people rebuild their gutted stock mufflers is the reason that many don't sound so hot. The way that it is packed is critical for not sounding ricey.

I am considering doing that to mine to convert it to a straight through absorption type rather than the "bounce around the room" style to improve the flow. If I do that, I plan to cut the bottom off and reshape it to be hidden or follow the line of the bumper. Nobody likes the saggy diaper! except my toddler, who doesn't give two poops about potty training.

Honestly that sounds like a lot of work when there are already numerous very good exhaust/muffler options out there. But more power to you! Would be interesting to hear and see the results I guess.
