Default Temporary whip~

Recently, I got to pick out a temporary demo, and so I picked none other than an F92 M3...an Austin Yellow with Competition Package, at that.

Took her down to the beach last weekend and opened the eyes super wide of a 991 driver (not sure if it was a 991.1 or .2, but it looked brand spanking new, so I assume .2). As I was heading towards the fwy onramp, I had noticed this beauty a couple blocks black (I always did love P-cars, especially the 993s and this newest generation). I managed to end up right behind the gorgeous black 991 at the last light before the two-lane, decreasing-radius, embanked onramp.

I engaged sport plus in all 3 driving parameters - engine, suspension, and steering. Light turned green, and homie lit up onto the onramp. Good thing too, as I went full throttle right on his ass and broke into the left/outside lane upon clearing the traffic next to me. Heading into the onramp at full clip, I managed to get right next to the Porsche on the inside lane. I hugged the apex pretty damn tight, but kept my line as it got very cozy between us. I caught him giving me a quick glance, but as we straightened out heading up the incline onramp, it was a pure drag race...and I had the momentum, hehe. Up we roared onto the fwy, and to my surprise, I managed to inch just past him as the onramp lanes merged into one. Forced to fall in line behind me, he cut across the left two lanes to pass me (rather recklessly I might add, but then, who am I to talk? ). I let off, having made my point. And as he passed, he shot me a dirty look, while I was ear to ear showing off my pearly whites.

But aside from the hooner-antics, I must say...this M3 is so planted, it almost feels like the tires have mega-super glue mixed into their rubber compounds. This thing gives me a level of confidence that I can't even begin to approach w my bucket E36 M3 (which is no slouch when it comes to handling/grip!). They definitely got this badboy dialed in just right. But man, after a few weeks in this little toy, my lower back and ass definitely long for my G12. Yeah, I guess I'm just becoming an old fart...

What's worse is that the E36 M3 has sadly become the new Honda Civic of tuning...

Comparing that to an E36 is apples vs paperclips.

Just the track/tire width alone...

Not a bad temporary whip!

Thats awesome! I have to say though. I've been a bimmer guy and have, apart from 1 car, driven nothing but bimmers since 2001. But that new Julia Gulia is really tugging at my heart strings. It would be a tough call between that and the M3.
