Default M3 GT / LTW splitter: Paint or raw?

I'm just wondering what you guys do. I never painted my splitter, but at the same time it has never looked particularly "spectacular". It does not seem to respond to surface treatments (vinyl and/or rubber treatments).

I never thought painting it was the thing to do, because it is going to get beat up (and mine has) and any paint would get chipped/scratched and look bad after a while anyway. Plus top side scratches from sliding in and out.

But on point: do you guys paint these pans or leave them raw as I did?

Also I never painted my filler pieces under the leading edge trim above the pan. Those aren't a big deal and could be painted I suppose but I don't see the point.

The paint will be destroyed in no time. I think they look the part with their minor imperfections

i kept mine raw as well. i imagine it would be a PITA to constantly touch it up after every minor ding and scrape that's picked up along the way.

I thought about the idea, mine arrived with some dings on it and it's never even been mounted on a car though, so I assume it will be ****ed up with the quickness once it's actually on the car. I would maybe consider a rattle can flat black once the original finish is done. It basically looks like rattle can flat black already...

Thanks guys!

Is a wrap as durable as paint?

It will wear in different ways. Vinyl may rip and peel where as paint will chip. You could clear bra the splitter but the it would have a glossy look which would be pretty whack IMO...
