Default What do we think of this idea...

I go back and forth on this.

Sometimes I think it's a cool idea, particularly due to the somewhat "stealth" nature of it being on the underside of the wing.

Then I think it's rather ghettonian.

So, should I get a black die-cut "BMW Motorsport" black decal for under my wing or not?

Depends on the application. Less is more for a street car. If it's on a dedicated track car then sure why not.

Not a dedicated track car. That's an older photo of it in my signature. It looks the same other than some peeling clear on the front pumper cover and a (factory) tow hook coming through a drilled rub strip.

No likey. Makes me think of all the super hardparked Eastern European e36s with saggy GT reps and like 8 degrees camber.

Agree. I don't think it'd look good on any color but alpine white. Allow me to elaborate...

I could get flamed for this but I think it would look cool on an alpine white M3 with a genuine GT wing with gurney flaps, LTW splitter and lip with mounting braces, Motorsport trim, LTW flags or an ///M livery, genuine BBS LMs, mild drop, and 10/10 black or cloth interior. Sort of blends the best of street with some track inspiration without being a full-on track car or a real LTW. Throw an S54 and 6MT and you will have a real winner worthy of it all.

genuine GT wing- check
gurney flaps- upper only, Braymond's reproduction until I find genuine
LTW splitter and lip- check
with mounting braces- Braymond's reproductions (I assume you mean the girdles?) coming soon
Motorsport trim- check
LTW flags or an ///M livery- nope. Too over the top
genuine BBS LMs- nope. Factory wheels
mild drop- possibly. I have some springs to try
and 10/10 black or cloth interior- black with red cloth centers

Sort of blends the best of street with some track inspiration without being a full-on track car or a real LTW.- sort of where I'm going with the car...

Throw an S54 and 6MT- S52 will stay with upgrades (keeping NA); 6-speed is a must (but not in the LTW..)

If you keep your hat bills straight and flat, then yes...great idea.

Don't I also have to go a few sizes large and pull it over my ears too?
