The paddle shifter mod's been done before, with AMG paddles.

But not with these oem paddles and never before with MFL.

Very cool! Nice job, even the click sounds good.

They exist for those that order theirs under the individual program. You should be commenting on the rarity of a US owner even being allowed to do that back then

Some cool bits here guys!

I guess my efforts on the springs is not appreciated? I will continue on to the best of my ability with it. I found numbers (or lack of) on the rear springs tonight... those four white stripe springs are very odd.

Fair point I'm familiar with the individual program, but I didn't realize that it wasn't really an option here until the mid '00s. Now those low NA production numbers make perfect sense.

It also feels very good, very positive click. Makes the shifter almost feel 'raw' (as it's metal on metal).

The 'throw' of the paddle is also much shorter than the stick. And, while it maybe just .2 of a second, but hey every bit counts, but this also saves the time from moving hand from wheel to the shifter.

Great thread; wish I could contribute. Was my goal to once retrofit the tilting steering column, but that would be a boring picture....
