Alrighty thats a good plan, is the Achilles Upgraded pump a good choice? I'd also grab their baffle and upgraded tube. I did some reading on the VAC ones people don't seem to be too please with them.

Was the oil pump nut the culprit? Do you have an aftermarket flywheel?

Finally got around to dropping the oil pan today. Nut did indeed spin off. Oil pan looked ok for the most part i think. A little bit of junk in there I don't know how much is normal for an engine with 105k on it.

Pump, tube and baffle should be here tomorrow. Also wanted to change the motor mount since I had the subframe down but looks like the Bimmerworld ones are out of stock

Well got the car started today new oil pump, tube and baffle. When I first started it i swore it was blown but turned out to just be ALOT of lifter tap. Took the lifters a good 30 mins at idle to finally charge up and quiet down. Took it for a nice test ride still pulling strong looks like I got lucky

I did change the oil (obviously) and the filter, any ideas on when I should drop the oil again just to flush all the crap out? Plus I figure I will get this batch analyzed instead of the batch where I actually lost oil pressure, this one may tell me more?

P.S. everyone's help on this is much appreciated thanks for all the good advice so far!

Yes If it were me i would do another oil and filter change in about 40 miles for better piece of mind. (hope you buy your oil at Walmart where Mobil 1 is cheap)

As far as another oil sample, I don't know how useful it would be. It will basically tell you what you already know. I'm more than sure levels will be elevated but these stats will not determine how long this engine will last. As long as your on top of your oil changes I wouldn't be surprised if this engine outlasts your ownership of the car.
