Default 6spd MT cold start issue

Anyone else get a little grinding in 1st and second when you first take off if you don't allow the car to warm up a little. I've been noticing this more lately and wondering if it has to do with my tranny fluid needing a change.

Mine doesn't really "grind" but it is much harder to put it into first and second. Not sure what that means though.

I believe its a normal thing its happening during the winter ever since i've owned the car. Even when I replaced the fluids it still continued to take more effort to get it into the first and second gear. So i'd call it normal thing for the M3.

Same here. I'm assuming it's normal.

No. I have the Zeckhausen CDV, which should be the same as CDV delete.

Grinding, no. On those first couple of shifts on a cold day I double clutch and make the shifts slowly. No issues.

I'll have to try that. Yeah it's like a weird noise. Not really grinding but like clunky.

I got 43k on it I'm not sure when the last trans change would have been done. All my work is up to spec accept oil done half interval.

Mine was doing that as well, but I found that it is normal. I did several things to improve the feel:

-Brake/clutch fluid bleed/replacement
-CDV removal
-OEM LT-2 transmission fluid put in (this improved the feel a lot)
-Changed shifting habits to feel for the syncro instead of slamming the car into gear

I think that about covers it.
