Default Weird no start issue (searched)

Drove home Sunday night from DC, parked the car and it hasn't moved. I went to leave today and the car just turns over but will not fire. I checked voltage at the pump and it was 3.38v. I figured it was the relay but initially, I had a hard time locating the M3 fuel pump module/ relay so I continued testing.

I removed the pump and jumped it, pump works fine when I supplied 12 volts. I ultimately located the EKP fuel module but am unsure how to further test it. Any ideas? Also, it seems odd that the car didn't even fire with the fuel in the system. All it did was turn over. Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Thanks!

No, car turns over fine and has good gas.

I just jumped the pump in the car and it still won't start. I'm kind of stumped here....

Okay, so my peake tool wouldn't work, it kept giving a11e, which didn't make sense. I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. Hooked it back up and the lights on the dash went off, which I thought was odd. I tried to turn it over and she fired right up.... Headed out for a blast now, I hope i make it home... LOL

Sounds like an EWS issue or a dying key. Go and have have EWS Module scan.

It hasn't happened again. I did try both keys so, I don't think its a key issue. I will have to have the EWS scanned soon. Thanks!

Gents,
So yesterday the M3 did the same thing again. It would just keep cranking but not fire. I finally disconnected the battery and this morning, she fired right up.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Essentially, something stops the car from sending power to the fuel pump. The car cranks with no issue and everything continues to work IE the radio, lights, horn etc. The only thing I see is the SMG selector won't register or go into gear when I move the selector, but I can hear the pump working.

I figure I have a module or computer issue somewhere, just hoping one of you have the fix.

FYI-Its not the fuel pump, fuel pump relay, starter Coils, plugs etc.

Thanks,
Ryan
