Castrol is cheap insurance.

It's actually a bit better, from one standpoint. It is more viscous. So for hot climates or track use, that would be good. But TWS may be better than LM for those in colder climates as it has lower viscosity and pour point.

You could run 0w40 in M cars if the conditions were such (cold/cool/no track use).

Oil selection should depend on more than just price (or BMW's say)

I have this oil in my E46M3. I'll be changing it out in May and sending a sample to Blackstone. Low mileage annual oil change.

I use the LM 10W60 and so far, my car runs strong with no issues. I've had excellent blackstone results having used the oil.

@ $77 shipped, its a bargain with excellent value.
