haha - I was actually wondering if you were the same as the daytonaviolet on modmyi, guess I know now :P. And yea I was hoping that unlock would work, but it's not really a big deal. Just wish I didn't lose the $30 or so trying

Pretty much... I went through many sources, even those that could source European parts and ECS was the only one who could get them..

hmmmm.. those part numbers say for non-dimming glass.. i wonder what the difference is...

The E46 isn't set up to accept auto-dimming exterior mirrors (at least the US spec isn't). Not sure about the euro version, but the US version isn't even wired for it..
