If you are running aftermarket headers with the full Magnaflow catback (i.e., catless system) then the CPI Euro will not fit. The Magnaflow system uses slip joint connections between section 1 and section 2 so you can't replace the Magnaflow section 1 with any other section 1. However, generally speacking, adding high-flow cats to a catless system will help to increase low-end torque.

The stock cats are in the 600 to 700 cell range. If NY uses the OBDII check for emissions (and not a sniffer) the the 200 and 400 cell cats will pass. If they use the sniffer as well as the OBDII check, the the 400 cell cat will certainly pass emissions. The 200 cell cat is EPA certified so it should pass as well - and we have sold several CRT200s (the Rasp Terminator with 200 cell cats). So far, we have not had any customers report that they did not pass emissions with the 200 cell cat.

Jack, does this include customers from California who have already had their emissions tested?

It really depends on what you send me....like a plain OE section 1 and you want cats and a single AR. Or, you send me an OE section 1 that has the AR, and you just cats...so it can vary. PM on the way to discuss details.

Only one in line at the moment...

I think I understand the question...I have sent several CRT400s to CA and a few CRT200 and have not had any reports of anyone not passing emissions. However, of the CRTs shipped to CA, I don't have a count of how many actually have had to go through emissions. I do know that the are some M3 owners in CA with the Random Tech 200 cell cats that have passed emissions. The Magnaflow 200 and 400 cell cats are EPA certified and up to 1 January of 09, were CARB certified in CA. I'm not sure what changed. Perhaps the CARB members tightened the requirements for aftermarket catalytic converters - not so much through tighter emissions testing but more so restricting hi-flow (and race) catalytic converters.

So if we have a Magnaflow exhaust system can we send you section one to have some high flow cats welded in? If so, how much does this typically run?

If you send me section 1 of your Magnaflow catback system...I can install a set of 200 or 400 cell cats and ship it back to you.

Magnaflow Section 1 w/400 cell hi-flow cats

Total cost to you is $495.00

This is the million dollar question. If the 400s will pass smog (OBDII + sniffer) in CA, that would be amazing. But IIRC my car was *kind* of close on a couple of the readings when I got it checked, and its an 02 with stock headers/cats. So if the stock cats are 600 or 700, I'd be skeptical that these 400s would work.

Any more information you have would be awesome.

Will you have package prices like with the CRT and AP headers? If so about how much do you think something like that will be?
