I just bought mine from Tischer - GetBmwParts for 625 with shipping. At first they accidentally send an E46 bumper but they fixed the issue and re-send the correct M3one. I still have to get my new euro painted.

Hmmm. Was the part number correct on the packaging?

I recently ordered the correct part number (per every thread, FAQ etc) and I received a 330i cover. Oddly, the part number on the package was correct, but the cover was not. The dealer ordered another one, same issue. It totally confused the dealer I bought from so I just returned it with the goal of starting this project in the spring.

Part # ordered and on the package was correct. BMW has had a batch of these mispackaged from the manufacturer with standard bumpers, but we've been able to notify them of the issue and we're now checking each bumper that comes in to make sure it's the correct one ordered.

You'll find these on special here on our site, option: 'Vehicles from 11/01 and on (kevlar bumper carrier)'. The part # for this option is 51117894989.

51112695241 is the part number for early cars (build date up to 09/2001)
51117894989 is the part number for the later cars (build date from 09/2001)

51117893527 is the Kevlar support
51118195300 is the standard support

Hopefully that helps you out.

Thanks for the info - at least I know I'm not crazy! The dealer I bought it from was hard to deal with, as if I ordered something wrong...
