Nürburgring Nordschleife:

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is considered to be the most challenging track in the world. The track spans over 20.8 km and has got almost all types of corners, extremely fast and very slow. Legendary F1-driver Jackie Stewart invented the famous nickname for the track - The Green Hell. Until 1976 F1-races were held at the track. The absolute lap record around the track is 6:11.13 was set by Stefan Bellof in a Porsche 956 back in 1983. During scheduled times of almost the entire year the track is open for the public where you can take your own car around the track.

First race: 18 June 1927
Lenght: 20,832 km
Number of corners: 73 (33 left, 40 right)
Largest decent: 17%
Largest rise: 11%
Highest point: 620 meters
Lowest point: 320 meters

Why are you comparing an aftermarket supercharged CSL to a production Nissan? Over and over again folks here (not singling you out) complain about people comparing modded to stock.

Great time by the CSL, but a slightly modified GTR may break the 7 second mark next year.....

Because it is customary in this section of the board to compare modified cars with stock ones i.e. modified 335 vs M3

The big difference here is that a modified 335 cost $15-$20k less than an M3, and even an unmodified CSL cost near $100k!

The post was obviously a joke. I just find it funny how everything regarding the Ring right now has to have talk with the "incredible time posted by the GTR". Point being that nobody has seen a production GTR do an officially timed lap yet and the numbers seem incredibly suspect.
