Default Possibly worst racp?

So the time to change out the racp on my car has finally come. It was creaking and when I was changing out the tire I noticed the floor panel hanging on the driver side probably a good couple inches lower than where it should be. Spot welds poped of course and cracking on the metal.

This was the first thing I saw and I though "oh **** this explains all the creaking and loose rear end feeling in the back"

I ordered the new racp and brought it to a good shop that knows what they're doing. I took off the carpet and bam I'm faced with this:

The guy working on it tells me that it's one of the worst ones he's seen lol

Needless to say here's the replacement panel:

Work will start sometime this week. Of course I'm reinforcing the shit out of this racp. Will be welding plates and manufacturing something like the Vince bar.

That sucks OP. I highly dislike these RACP failure threads. Such a piss poor design on BMW's part that we have to contend with while the bloodsucking lawyers were really the only ones to benefit from the class action lawsuit in 2010.

But what I see daily are typical German car colors; blacks, silvers, grays and whites. They look nice, I agree, but to me the appeal is what the M cars were in the 1980s an event. Its not so much that I want to be noticed, but more that I want to stand apart from the crowd. And to me, Phoenix Yellow and Laguna Seca Blue are two of the best ways to differentiate your M3 experience from the norm.

... ok that's where the thousands was from -_- LOL fk that's a lot.

on the bright side, while you're there itl be comparatively cheap to weld on plates, bars, etc while everything is off the car. in4pics!
