This time around it did go up 8 days or so ago and the listing is gone so that part is true.... the guy kept saying the wheels were dinan wheels when theyre ssr comps and he had told me that the dealership offered him 8500 on a trade. I dont think they sold the car for 15k

I've read the thread and there are certainly varying opinions on this car, so I will not get into it... I agree that 15k may be, maaaaybe, a bit steep for an 03 with 100+k, but it's a rare color and you will absolutely pay a premium. How much of a premium? Maybe a new owner will surface here and tell us. Had it been a silver, black or white car, then I suspect it would be much closer to the alleged trade in price that he got. Just my 2 cent.

Ya I don't think he sold it for 8500 but he didn't sell it for 15 I'll tell you that much ..in terms of the other funny thing is the guy didn't know it was estoril blue he knew he had a rare color but kept trying to convince me it was interlagos blue.. I would clarify and say an 03 with 150k+ is a bit steep there's a fair difference between the two ... I also wouldn't put white in that category white and lsb are the most desired colors for our cars by leaps and bounds..the car did have mods it had dinan exhaust dinan suspension dinan cold air intake and strut bar and uuc mid pipes

Just looked up production numbers. Sub "white" for "silver"

For everyones' information, 58 Estoril Blue E46 M3s came to the U.S. It was the second highest "individual" color right behind Sterling Gray at 61

That's true. Which shows that it was the second highest individual color on demand.

However, 58 out of 26523 E46 M3 coupe vehicles produced with US specs is only %0.2 of the entire stock. both supply and demand matter.

By these numbers you can say that the most popular individual color was Sterling Grey (I wonder why ) closely followed by Estoril Blue.

Funny because when I bought mine, the owner kept thinking the car was Interlagos blue and I had to correct him.

The thing with Estoril Blue e46 m3s is that the average BMW e46 m3 fanboy doesn't even know that BMW offered a e46 m3 in Estoril Blue. When I go to Cars and Coffee or meets, I get the occasional question why I had the color changed and I have to explain that I didn't, its an Individual color. It might have been a more well known color when Obioban created this tread over a decade ago:

Just food for thought.
