I currently have the AKG Stage II and it's been very good to me. Since I'm always looking for something better that fits my wants I'm going with RTD. Main reason is the torsion spring thus the 3rd/4th alignment for a better and more precise gating vs AKG. I actually think the AKG is more robust (less likely to break) but then I also get the race lever bringing it closer to the steering wheel. Plus I suspect since RTD doesn't use a bearing that it won't make much noise. I believe the throw is going to very close to one another, though I'm hoping for a slightly shorter shift vs AKG.

Oh, I will wait for a bit after I get and install the RTD before I sell my AKG shifter.

So...short story long, this might help you decide which way to go.

Currently no time frame to launch the DSSR yet!
We're so busy in the Production at the moment!

In the videos you can see there is some slop in gear for the non lockout version, where CAE and others are pretty much rock solid (I know not same price range). Does the lockout mechanism help with this or is it simply a stronger centering spring?
