Default 2003 M3 Carbon Black / Cloth, Xenons, Lots of Maintenance Upgrades 6spd w/108k in CT

I am putting my 2003.0 M3 up for sale again this spring. I purchased the vehicle in February 2011 from a BMW dealer with a little over 60k on the clock. As much as I enjoy having a spare garage queen, it’d be nice to sell it and focus on other hobbies like continuing world travel.

I own the car with a clean title. No accidents on a Carfax from last year, except the rear bumper scratches outlined in thread below.

Price: I’m looking for $17.5k or best offer based on other vehicles out there and the significant amount of maintenance upgrades and investments I’ve put into the vehicle. Using tools like forums and autotrader.com shows that a well maintained coupe with a 6 speed isn't easy to come by in the Northeast. One could easily spend thousands on VANOS/Subframe Re-enforcement/Bushings including a professional install.

The major investment in items like VANOS upgrades, Subframe Reinforcement, and almost every bushing such as RTABs/FCAB's, etc. cost several thousands of dollars and would likely be required for some of the lower priced M3's out there.

Maintenance Records / Upgrades: Prior to me owning the vehicle, it had the rod bearing recall somewhere in the 20-25k range. I recently had a blackstone oil analysis and nothing indicated a recurrence (or other issues for that matter).

NOTE: I have a mix of wheels in pictures. First few pictures here are APEX ARC-8's, some of the more "grey" pictures are of my old powder coated ZCP's.

A list of highlights is below:

Engine & Drivetrain

Full Beisan VANOS Update (Cam Bolts, Solenoid, Pump Disc, & Seals)
Valve Adjustment at VANOS Install
6 speed manual
530d “oem short shifter”
New OEM clutch at around 80k

Castrol 10w60 changed around every 6-7k
Rogue Engineering Rasp Pipe
Bimmerworld Rubber Motor Mounts
3 New OEM diff bushings and cover
Rogue Engineering Transmission Mounts
Turner Motorsports Clutch Fan Delete Kit
K&N Intake (mostly for sound)
Recently changed manual transmission & Diff fluid with OEM fluids
CDV Delete with Rogue Engineering Clutch Line
Bosch AGM 49-850 Battery Jan 2017

Suspension & Steering

Bilstein B6 (HD) Shocks with H&R Springs
Subframe reinforced with Turner Motorsports Kit
AKG Subframe Bushings
New OEM Front Control Arms with Rogue Engineer Front Control Arm Bushings (FCABs)
Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mounts
Rogue Engineering Rear Trailing Arm Bushings (RTABs)
Turner Motorsports Rear Camber Arms
4 New Rear OEM Ball Joints Replaced
New OEM Tie Rod Ends / Steering Coupler

Brakes, Wheels, & Tires

2 Bridgestone Potenza RE-11’s (275/30ZR19) in Rear (90% & 100%)
Goodyear Eagle F1’s (245/35R19) in front (40%)
APEX ARC-8 19x8.5ET20 Front
APEX ARC-8 19x9.5ET22 Rear
Turner Motorsports Sportstop Cross Drilled Rotors (Front/Rear) with Axxis / PBR Metal Master Street Pads (Low Dust)

Interior/Exterior

Bi-xenon Headlights with auto-leveling
Power Moonroof
Power cloth seats
Euro Tray, Armrest Delete, Custom Aux Input
Previous Owner installed Ipod Controller in Glove Box
35% Tint all around, no peeling/purple/etc (legal in MA/CT)
Viper Alarm System with Gyroscopic Sensor (for wheels)
Radar Mirror Leaking Mirror Repair
Interior Includes Carbon Fiber 3M Wrap on Front Interior Pieces
Premium package (heated blue tinted mirrors, ski pass through, etc.)
Spare Tire on Space Saving Spare

The Bad

Front lower bumper paint chip/cracked paint and it's share of non perfect paint on lower.

Rear bumper has deeper scrapes (see pictures).

Radio Volume Button: It fell off at one point but I use the steering wheel controls.

The passenger window trim needs repair. It doesn't whistle, but it can be barely heard on highway.

The rear suspension has a lot of poly and Turner camber arms that can periodically make noise. Worth the stiffness though!

Conclusions

I’ve spent a decent amount of time, effort, and money upgrading common fail points of the M3 to make for a solid DD / weekend vehicle. If you’re a serious buyer, shoot me a PM and we can go from there. If I’m forgetting anything, or if you have particular picture requests, let me know.

I don't know what the prior owners did (pre-2011), but I have not formally tracked the car. The car has physically been on the track (3x) for events that try to get people interested in actual HPDE events, like the NASA hyperdrive. You basically follow a pace car at a slow pace around the track and aren't pushing the cars limits by any means (usually less than 60-70mph, no passing, easy on brakes, etc.)

For reference, one of the last times I went, I was following a Prius.
