Let's forget he was gracious in AD and put up a congratulatory post on social media a couple of days ago.

This off-season will be absolutely fascinating. Jenson to Merc??? I can only dream...
Nico didnt want to conceed to Hammi anymore... guess you'd have to pay him more than 70mill to swallow his pride..

other than that, hes mostly (probably) just ready to fk bishs in Tulum, Monte Carlo, and Ibiza without having to rush back the team every week..

What do you guys think?
Who knows what is in his heart to determine this decision; however, if Lewis did not suffer multiple retirements, Nico would not have the championship.

Hamilton, although gracious that day, made a pretty classless comment. No love lost between those two.

Eh, I saw it. His twitter post was a backhanded compliment at best, self-aggrandizing at a minimum.

"We said we'd be champions back then, now we both are! Congratulations Nico, you did everything a champion needed to do. Well deserved"

As much as you hate Lewis, this isn't about him. It's about Nico retiring. Do we need to bring up how pouty Nico was last year when Lewis won? I don't remember seeing any posts on social media from Nico. Again, beyond the point. He's retired and there is a seat available for someone.

Not a chance in hell. He's a weekend club racer at best and never belonged in F1. Good riddance to him.

Wait... world champion, just like Rosberg, yet he's a "weekend racer?"

Hoping Alonso moves immediately

Was 99% luck to to be in a car that contributed 99% of the reason he won the championship. Don't make it out like he had anything to do with winning. Right place right time. Maldonado could have won the championship in that car.
