I actually saw that picture a few years back in high school and set out to build one like it. I got an old V8 from a junk yard, cleaned it and polished it (more work than I thought), and did the welding with help from my high schools shop teacher. I had no where to put it, and ended up selling it. It's not hard to build one yourself, just takes a little time. Just make sure you find the lightest block you can. I bought a $30 glass table from a used furniture store and threw out everything but the glass. I'll probably make another when i have more space than my dorm room. I also considered using a 4-banger engine and making a smaller table.
