Default Clapped out but running E30 - NJ

I'm looking to buy an E30 for as little money as possible; think like $1000, or at least close. My local CL is pretty barren right now.

- Minimal rust, but rust is better than a bent chassis
- 4 doors
- 6 cylinders
- 1988+, or anything with the big tail lights.
- Not totally obliterated
- Some semblance of reliability

That's about it. I'm willing to learn bodywork, welding, even upholstery. A lot of parts would probably be worn out by now anyway, so if I replace them myself as money comes around at least I'll be sure of their condition (and learn something along the way).
Automatic is fine, there's always room for a manual swap later and apparently the ZF boxes aren't bad to drive. Mainly just looking for the things that can't really be changed: facelift tail lights, 4 doors, and the general chassis condition.

Hopefully something in this range can also be reliable enough to DD, even if it feels like crap for a while. Yes, a 1997 Accord is probably a better choice but I already had one, and just can't get over the idea of owning an E30, and it's a car that I'll keep around for a very long time.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Okay you know what, it doesn't even have to be a facelift. They're both great.
