Unhappy Glovebox / Glove Compartment won't open

Hi,

I have recently bought a 2008 M3 Convertible and i'm having an issue with the glove box. I can't seem to open it with or without the key. I've tried with the roof up and down and the car locked and unlocked but it's not budging. There is no tension whatsoever in the handle either.

Thanks

Hopefully you've gotten the glovebox working over the last week. If not, here's what I do when my glovebox won't open. It may be superstition, but it's worked 3x so far.

1. Close all the doors and lock then unlock the vehicle with the key remote.
2. Use the button in the driver footwell to release the trunk.
3. Open and close the trunk.
4. Get back in the driver's seat, close all the doors, and use the central button to lock then unlock the doors.
5. Open the glovebox.
