Sounds awesome, but out of my price range. If I had to guess, he's prolly able to sell it for at least $15k.

My car ended up on a flat bed 7 months after installing the stainless steel power steering lines. I went full lock for 1 second while turning into a parking spot and I felt a pop. Lines blew and took out the power steering pump. ATF went everywhere, so replacing all the belts and tensioners. Had it towed to Pro Performance in Dural because the last thing I want to do during my Thanksgiving week down in SoFlo is to get under a car. $2500 damage with all the parts sourced from the dealership and labor. Learn from my mistake, stick with OE/OEM high pressure power steering lines... even if they leak after a year...

...

...

...

yep.

Dumbass, I would've done that job. Hell, I even have a new OE line on hand (no pump though) waiting to go into mine when I do rod bearings.

Also wanna know if anyone has had this issue too. From comparing the SS lines to the OEM ones, the SS lines were a little bit smaller in diameter, thus creating more pressure. But I've never heard of a SS steering line blow like the one I had. My recommendation, avoid these SS lines and stick with OEM.

So I took the car to the BMW dealership for an alignment and to diagnose the rear clunk noise I get from going over bumps at very low speeds. They inspected the car and recommended not to do an alignment just yet.

Finds:
- Rear trailing arm bushings were knocking
- Found the shock mount bushings are worn
- Found transmission shift shaft seal and transmission output shaft seal are leaking
- Found the engine mounts are collapsed
- Found the engine oil cooler lines are leaking
- Found the power steering hoses from reservoir to pump and reservoir to cooler are leaking
- Found the headlight level sensor is installed backwards and needs new bracket.

Nothing real major, except the cost of labor for the transmission... Mind you I'm at 96k (or maybe its 98k) miles.

I placed an order with AKG for Poly 95A RTABs, with Rogue for the RSM bushing replacement, and BimmerWorld Group N Engine Mounts. The BMW engine mounts I had didn't even last 50k miles. I can live with a little vibrations at idle if that's what it costs to have it last longer.

I'm definitely placing an order for the following:
- Power Steering Hose (P/N: 32412229369)
- Power Steering Cooler Return Line (P/N: 32412282353)
- PS Lower Return Line Clamp (32416751128)
- 2X PS Upper Return Line Clamp (32416751127)
- Transmission Input Shaft Seal (P/N: 23121228493)
- Transmission Shift Rod Seal (P/N: 23127501582)
- Transmission Output Shaft Seal (P/N: 23121222769)
- 4X O-Ring for Oil Cooler Lines (P/N: 17222245358)
- 2X Fillister Head Screw for Oil Lines (P/N: 17227833189)

I'm going to skip on the actual oil cooler lines and assume the o-rings are what is leaking for now. Since the transmission will have to be dropped for new seals, I'm thinking of just throwing money up in the air and get a new clutch while it's down.

For that, my list is as follows:
- LUK Clutch Kit (P/N: 21212282393)
- Throwout Bearing (P/N: 21511223582)
- Throwout Bearing Guide Tube (P/N: 23117512866)
- Pilot Bearing (P/N: 11211720310)
- Clutch Fork Lever (P/N: 21511223302)
- Clutch Fork Pivot Pin (P/N: 21511223281) (This is the Genuine BMW Metal pin)
- Pivot Pin Spring Clip (P/N: 21517570284)
- Clutch Slave Cylinder (P/N: 21526785966)
- Rear Main/Crankshaft Seal Kit (P/N: 11142247867)
- ECS SS Clutch Line (P/N: 009536ECS01)
- 8X Flywheel Bolts (P/N: 11222243051)
- 6X Pressure Plate Screw (P/N: 21207548052)
- 4X Hex Screws for TOB Guide Tube (P/N: 23317545769)

My 2nd order if needed list:
- Universal Flex Disc/Guibo (P/N: 26112226527) (one on the car has 40k miles)
- Driveshaft Center Mount (P/N: 26122282495) (one on the car has 40k miles
- 6X Hex Bolt (P/N: 26117635643)
- 6X Self Locking Nut (P/N: 26127536563)
- 2X Flange Nut (P/N: 26117574872)
- Oil Cooler Lines (P/N: 17222283209) (if the o-rings don't solve the leaking issue)
- Exhaust Gaskets / Hardware

If I'm feeling froggy, I might also do the transmission detent ball and spring repair kit while the transmission is out. But I don't think it's needed.

Why not use an Indy shop? Your way will cost much more.

Trust me, I am. I usually just do alignments at the dealerships. I am assuming it's going to be over $1,000 for most places in South Florida to drop the transmission. I gotta call for estimates early next week.

Jeez... they really don't last at all.

That said, it's an easy enough job that it's worth doing more often for the comfort... little vibrations get annoying.

Same could be said of the RTABs too... actually if you want poly I still have the ones I took off your car 50k miles ago.
